A soldier’s notion of time gets distorted during his 90 day service, with his battalion on the Siachen Glacier. The brutal temperatures of -60°Celsius, along with inhabitable living conditions, take their toll on a soldier’s physical and mental state. The photograph bears temporary tally marks on snow, that suggest the numbers of days spent by a soldier and his eagerness to return to home and normality. “Sixty-five days more to go…”, reflects on the soldier’s will to survive and his detachment from this cold, unsympathetic glacier.
