“I was not born for the three-point-contact…”, is a video projected onto a white wooden vertical surface, where one observes the artist impersonate the various stages of Human Evolution. The video starts with him walking on all-fours to eventually end with walking upright on his two feet. During the process of we also notice a gradual and methodical build up of Siachen clothing onto him.

Three-point-contact, suggest that either two hands and one foot, or one hand and two feet need to be in contact with any surface when mounting or dismounting. It’s also the first basic training a soldier undergoes when preparing for a Siachen posting. The upright surface on which the video is projected on, takes the form of three sections, which seem to simulate three pillars or doorways or walls. The works argues whether a soldier is born a soldier, or does the system create one and at what cost.
